RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PORT TOWNSEND APPROVING PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE
SURF RESTAURANT'S CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 9506-08
CHANGING THE HOURS DURING WHICH THE RESTROOMS WOULD
BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, resolves as follows:
WHEREAS, the SurfRestam'ant was granted a Shorelines Conditional use Pe~t
(9506-08) to construct a deck at the water side of its building with a condition that there be public
restrooms provided and that they be operated at specified hours; and
WHEREAS, the binding agreement required in Condition 1 of the Conditional Use Permit
has been negotiated and was approved by the City Council on July 7, 1997, in Resolution 97-84;
and
WHEREAS, the summer hours of operation, meaning those days of the year filling
between May 1 and September 31 of every year, shall be 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and during the
rest of the year, hours of operation shall be from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Port
Townsend that the City Council hereby accepts and adopts the findings of fact, conclusions and
recommendation of the Building and Community Development Director dated July 21, 1997.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend in regular session assembled
this 21st day of July, 1997.
