A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE
JEFFERSON COUNTY WATER RESOURCES COUNCIL WITH THE PACIFIC
STATES MARINE FISHERIES ON BEHALF OF THE FOR THE SAKE OF THE
SALMON.
WHEREAS,

WHEREAS,
the Port Townsend City Council has recognized the importance of the Jefferson
County Water Resources Council to implement the Dungeness/Quilcene Water
Resource Plan; and
the Council entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to lend financial and
administrative support and direction by resolution on May 01, 1995; and
the Jefferson County Water Resources Council must have an entity such as the
City of Port Townsend act on its behalf to administer the contract,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign a
contract, in substantially the same form as attached, on behalf of the Jefferson County Water
Resources Council with the Pacific States Marine Fisheries on behalf of the For the Sake of the
Salmon.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this 21st
day of July, 1997.
