A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN CHANGE ORDER #3 FOR $16,881.65 TO
THE SAN JUAN AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT TO MODIFY THE
DETENTION POND AND INFILTRATION SYSTEM.

Change Orders are a necessary and common occurrence on public works projects
such as the San Juan Avenue Improvement Project; and
Public Works Staff recommends the redesign of the stormwater control system to
increase pond volume capacity; and
Change Orders are actual changes to the original comract, requiring fair
negotiation and agreement by the City and the Contractor, Lakeside Industries ·
NOW THEREFORE
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign a
Change Order to the contract with Lakeside Industries to modify the stormwater detention pond
as part of the San Juan Avenue Improvement Project, in an amount of $16,881.65.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this 4th
day of August, 1997.
