RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE/
CONSULTANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND OLYMPIC
FINANCIAL & MANAGEMENT SERVICES, INC.
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, resolves as follows:
WHEREAS, the City is currently evaluating various rate options for municipal solid
waste disposal and delivery and is negotiating a new contract for this municipal service; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the City to utilize the Consultant as an
independent entity to accomplish the City's objectives and goals to provide f'mancial analysis
of the Port Townsend solid waste delivery system; and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficient staff or expertise to conduct such
services itself; and
WHEREAS, the City has investigated the qualifications of the Consultant and finds
that the Consultant is qualified to perform the services required,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RF~OLVED, by the City Council for the City of Port
Townsend that the Mayor is authorized to sign the Olympic Financial & Management
Services, Inc. Professional Service/Consultant Agreement in substantially the same form as
attached.

on this 15th day of September, 1997.
