A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
WITH SVR DESIGN COMPANY TO MONITOR COMPLIANCE OF THE PORT
TOWNSEND PAPER COMPANY'S CONTRACTOR WITH THE PLANS, AND SPECS AS
REPAIRS ARE COMPLETED AT THE OGWS WASHOUT SITE.
WHEREAS, the City and the Consultant are desirous of entering into an Agreement to
formalize their relationship, and
it would be beneficial to the City to utilize the Consultant as an independent entity
to monitor compliance of the Port Townsend Paper Company's contractor with
the plans and specs as repairs are completed at the OGWS pipeline washout site;
and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficient staff or expertise to conduct such services itself;
and
WHEREAS, the City has investigated the qualifications of the Consultant and finds that the
Consultant is qualified to perform the services required;
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign a
Professional Services Agreement with SVR Design Company to monitor compliance of the Port
Townsend Paper Company's contractor with the plans and specs as repairs are completed at the
OGWS pipeline washout site.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this 6th
day of October, 1997.
