A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH LYMANGROVER & ASSOCIATES TO STAKE BOUNDARY
LINES AS PART OF A LAND PURCHASE AND SALE AGREEMENT FROM POPE
RESOURCES.
WHEREAS,
the City desires to purchase property from Pope Resources in the City's
watershed to protect the watershed from logging activities; and
WHEREAS,
as a condition of sale, the seller is requiring the staking of boundary lines
between the property the City is purchasing and the property Pope
Resources will be retaining; and
WHEREAS,
the City does not have staff with the expertise to conduct such services
itself; and
WHEREAS,
the City has investigated the qualifications of the Consultant and finds that
the Consultant is qualified to perform the services required
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign a
Professional Services Agreement with Lymangrover & Associates to stake the boundary lines of
the land to be purchased from Pope Resources in the area known as City Lake.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this 6th
day of October, 1997.
