RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR CITY
USE OF KALA POINT PROPERTY FOR RADIO ANTENNA INSTALLATION
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, resolves as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend wishes to use the exterior surface of the Kala
Point water treatment building for the installation of a radio repeater and antenna; and
WHEREAS, the radio system installation is necessary to improve radio communication
for City needs; and
WHEREAS, the Kala Point Utility Company owns the water treatment building and
has agreed to execute a License Agreement. The radio system installation will not affect Kala
Point's operation of the water treatment building; and
WHEREAS, the radio system installation consists of an antenna mast and repeater
system fixed to the side of the water treatment building, with electricity provided by Kala
Point without cost to the City;
WHEREAS, the License Agreement is effective November 1, 1997 and terminates
November 1, 2017,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Port
Townsend that the Mayor is authorized to sign the License Agreement in substantially the form
as attached hereto.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor
on this 20th day of October, 1997.
