A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
WITH MONTGOMERY MARITIME SURVEY, INC., FOR MARINE SERVICES
RELATING TO CITY DOCK, UNION WHARF AND OTHER CITY MARINE FACILITIES.
WHEREAS, the Port Townsend City Dock and Union Wharf have in the past sustained damages;
and
WHEREAS,
it is expected that City Dock, Union Wharf and other waterfront structures will
occasionally sustain damages caused by the vessels using it or extreme weather
conditions; and
WHEREAS, such damages require additional inspection and consultation services by a marine
surveyor; and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficient staff or expertise to conduct such services itself; and
WHEREAS, the City has investigated the qualifications of the Consultant and finds that the
Consultant is qualified to perform the services required;
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign a
Professional Services Agreement, in substantially the same form as attached, with Montgomery
Maritime Survey, Inc., to provide marine survey services on an on-call basis through December 31,
1998.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this 1st
day of December, 1997.
