RESOL~ON OF THE CITY COD-riCK, OF THE CITY OF PORT TO~ ACCEPTING
FIRE APPARATUS BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT
The City council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, an intergovernmental cooperative agreement for fire apparatus purchase
was entered into with Pierce County Fire District #21; and
. WHEREAS, Pierce County Fire District #21 conducted a formal bid opening for Fire
Apparatus purchase on December 18, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the Executive Director and Fire Department officials have analyzed the
bids submitted to determine the lowest responsive, responsible bidder: and
WHEREAS, PIERCE MANUFACTURING, INC., was determined to be the lowest
responsive, responsible bidder to provide a TRIPLE COMBINATION PUMPER, at $305,567.67;
and
WHEREAS, a copy of the bid tabulation form is attached hereto as attachment
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Port Townsend
that the Council accepts the PIERCE MANUFACTURING, INC. triple combination pumper bid
and awards a contract for PIERCE MANUFACTURING, INC. to provide to the City Fire
Department a triple combination pumper for the total amount of $305,567.67. The Mayor of
the City of Port Townsend is authorized to execute all necessary documents and contracts to
accept the bid.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor on
this 5th day of January, 1998.
