HomeMy WebLinkAbout98-008RESOLUTION NO. 98- ,00 ~ A RESOLUTION OF ~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING A SIX-MONTH EXTENSION FOR COMPLETION OF CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL ON STREET VACATION 96-00067 (ARTHUR KAKNO) Mr. Arthur Kamo's request to vacate the easterly thirty-feet of Arizona Place abutting Lots 6-10, Block 26 of the Fowlers Park Addition was conditionally approved by city council on January 21st of 1997; and, the Street Vacation approval will become null and void on January 21, 1998 if the conditions of approval have not been met. WHEREAS, the primary purpose for the vacation is to preserve a 100-foot buffer adjacent to the Winnona Wetland; and pursuant to the conditions of the street vacation, the applicant applied for and was granted a Boundary Line Adjustment generally ~hit'dng Lots 6-15 of Block 26 of the Fowlers Park Addition 30-feet easterly and widening the interior alley to provide access to the Lots; and, the applicant has made a good faith effort to comply with the conditions of approval. Mr. Kamo has submitted several legal documents and a survey in compliance w/th the conditions of approval of the Street Vacation and Boundary Line Adjustment; and, staffhas requested additional time to review the documents submitted and resolve concerns over the survey; NOW THEREFORE Be it resolved that City Council of the City of Port Townsend does hereby authorize a six-month extension of time (i.e., July 21, 1998) for completion of the conditions of approval for Street Vacation #96-00067.
