A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ADVERTISE AND BID FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE CHLORINE CONTACT TIME (CT) PIPELINE PROJECT.
WHEREAS, The City's current chlorine contact time is deficient; and
WHEREAS, The City is required to bring the Port Townsend water system into compliance with
the Surface Water Treatment Rule and the Agreed Order with the Department of
Health; and
WHEREAS, City funds have been included in the 1998 Budget for this project; and
WHEREAS, The City desires to bid this project in a fair and timely fashion, in accordance
with state and local bidding laws,
Now Therefore, Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend
that it authorizes the Mayor to advertize and bid for the construction of the CT pipeline project.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this 17th day
