A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH SVR DESIGN COMPANY TO PROVIDE NON-MOTORIZED
TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING AND DESIGN FOR THE WALKER AND
SHERIDAN STREETS PROJECTS.
WHEREAS, the City and the Consultant are desirous of entering into an Agreement to
formalize their relationship, and
WHEREAS,
it would be beneficial to the City to utilize the Consultant as an independent
entity to accomplish the City's objectives and goals to complete various
Transportation projects including Pedestrian projects at Sheridan and Walker
Streets; and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficient staff or expertise to conduct such services
itself; and
WHEREAS, the City has investigated the qualifications of the Consultant and finds that the
Consultant is qualified to perform the services required;
N O W T H E R E F O R
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign,
in substantially the same form as attached, a Professional Services Agreement with SVR Design
Company to provide Transportation Engineering and Design Services including Pedestrian
projects at Sheridan and Walker Streets.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this 2nd
day of March, 1998.
