A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PORT TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY
TO ESTABLISH A CITY ATTORNEY IMPREST CHECKING
ACCOUNT
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
the City Attorney periodically needs to pay court fees to pursue City legal matters
in an urgent manner; and
the City Attorney needs to pay courier and sundry expenses for which there isn't
sufficient time to process expenditures through the City voucher process; and
in accordance with RCW Chapter 42.24, the State Auditor has prescribed
necessary procedures in the Budgeting. Accounting And Reporting System manual
that allows the City to open imprest checking accounts when certain policies and
procedures are implemented;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by' the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that
the Mayor be directed to authorize the Finance Director to remit $500 from the City treasury to
open a City Attorney imprest checking account in accordance with State Auditor requiremems.
