A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING A CALL FOR BIDS FOR WATER TREATMENT CHEMICALS.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend requires Water Treatment Chemicals for the year
1998; and
WHEREAS, the City's current contract for these products expired on December 31, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the Water Treatment chemicals listed on the State of Washington bid for these
products are higher than those quoted to the City by the present supplier; and
WHEREAS, it is necessar~ and desirable to obtain these products through a fair and timely
competitive bidding process pursuant to Washington State Law
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be it resolved, by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that the Mayor is hereby
authorized to call for bids for Water Treatment Chemicals for the remainder of 1998.
Adopted by the City Council and signed by the Mayor this 6th day of April, 1998.
