RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE
AGREEMENT WITH LITTLE & LITTLE CONSTRUCTION IN PROJECT
MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR REPAIR AND RENOVATION OF THE PORT
TOWNSEND LIBRARY NOT TO EXCEED $13,701.80
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, resolves as follows:
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the City to utilize the Consultant as an
independent entity to accomplish the City's objectives and goals to provide skilled, cost-
effective and efficient project management for the repair and renovation of improvements for
the Library building; and
WHEREAS, the 6 projects are not part of one large project, but rather are separate and
unrelated, each involving various tasks, so that managing the projects requires specialized skill
and expertise; and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficient staff or expertise to conduct such
services itself; and
WHEREAS, the City has previous construction and project management experience
with the Consultant in other projects, knows the qualifications of the Consultant and finds that
Little & Little Construction is well qualified to perform the services required,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Port
Townsend that the Mayor is authorized to execute a Contract with Little & Little Construction
by the Agreement and Attachments 1-3, including Scope of Services, Payment Schedule, and
Insurance Requirements, in substantially the form as attached to this resolution.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor
on this 5th day of May, 1998.
