A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ADVERTISE AND BID FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE SHERIDAN STREET SIDEWALK PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City and School District would like to improve safety for children walking to
Grant Street School; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the construction of a sidewalk on Sheridan Street would
enhance safety for the children; and
WHEREAS, the Port Townsend School District is contributing to this project and the City has
received Oil Rebate grant money; and
WHEREAS, The City desires to bid this project in a fair and timely fashion, in accordance
with state and local bidding laws,
Now Therefore, Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend
that it authorizes the Mayor to advertize and bid for the construction of the Sheridan Street
Sidewalk project.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this 4th day
of May, 1998.
