A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND TO
DIRECT STAFF TO SETTLE FUTURE CHANGE ORDERS UP TO $5,000.00 FOR ANY
SINGLE CHANGE, AND UP TO A TOTAL $25,000.00 FOR ALL CHANGES
COMBINED, TO THE IMCO CONSTRUCTION COMPANY CONTRACT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE CT WATER PIPELINE.
WHEREAS, Change Orders are a necessary and common occurrence on a public works project
such as the construction of the CT Pipeline project; and
WHEREAS,
Change Orders are actual changes to the original contract, requiring fair
negotiation and agreement by the City and the Contractor, IMCO Construction
Company; and
WHEREAS, The City wishes to expedite negotiations and finalizing of necessary Change
Orders,
NOW THEREFORE
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend directs Public Works Staff to
administratively handle future Change Orders up to $5,000.00 for any single change, and up to
$25,000.00 total for all changes combined, to the CT Pipeline Construction project with IMCO
Construction Company.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this
18th day of May, 1998.
