A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN WITH THE PORT TOWNSEND SWIM
TEAM (PTST) A POOL USE AGREEMENT.
WItEREAS,
PTST desires to use the Port Townsend swimming pool facilities, located at
Mountain View Elementary School ("the Pool") each week, for a pre'scribed
number of hours; and
WHEREAS, the Pool is owned by the Port Townsend School District but is under the control
and management authority of the City; and
WHEREAS,
the City desires to make the Pool available to the PTST, in exchange for a
reasonable monthly fee to reimburse the City for management and lifeguard needs
and services required for the PTST use of the Pool; and
WHEREAS,
the parties entered into a Pool Use Agreement dated July 16, 1997, which the
parties wish to terminate in its entirety and replace with a new Agreement based
on re-negotiated terms,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend to authorize the Mayor to sign
with the Port Townsend Swim Team a Pool Use Agreement in substantially the same form as
attached.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this 1st day
of June, 1998. ,,
