RESOLUTION NO. 23-036
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL
AGREEMENTS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE LIBRARY WINDOW
REPLACEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the windows of the Port Townsend Library are failing causing leaks and wood
rot; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Commerce awarded the Port Townsend
Library a Library Capital Improvement Grant to replace the windows and remodel the restrooms;
and,
WHEREAS, the City budget includes the matching funds using ARPA monies, bond funds,
and REET revenues; and,
WHEREAS, the City advertised the project on the MRSC small works roster; and
WHEREAS, the lowest bid was from Sound Glass for $79,097.50;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend to obligate the necessary matching funds and to authorize the City Manager to execute
all agreements necessary for the Library Windows Replacement Project, including the
Washington State Department of Commerce Capital Improvement Grant agreement.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port "Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 20th day of June 2023.
