A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
DECLARING SETON CONSTRUCTION TO BE THE LOWEST, RESPONSIVE,
RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR THE WALKER STREET SIDEWALK
CONSTRUCTION AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A CONTRACT
AWARDING THE BID TO SETON CONSTRUCTION.

WHEREAS,
the City and School District would like to improve safety for children walking
to Mountain View School; and
The City has advertised and received bids for repair of these streets; and
Bids were received in a fair and timely fashion, in accordance with the City and
State bidding laws; and
The City has found Seton Construction to be the lowest, responsive, responsible
bidder.
N O W T H E R E F O R E
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend accepts the bid
submitted by Seton Construction for Thirty Two Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty Two
Dollars ($32,922.00) plus applicable Sales tax as. certified by the State of Washington
Department of Revenue contingent on Transportation Improvement Board approval, as the
lowest, responsive, responsible bidder and authorizes the Mayor to enter intO a contract with
Seton Construction for the construction of sidewalks on Walker Street.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this 20th
day of July, 1998.
