A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN CHANGE ORDER #1 FOR $15,717.05 TO
THE CT PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT CONTRACT WITH IMCO
CONSTRUCTION.
WHEREAS, Change Orders are a necessary and common occurrence on large construction
projects such as the CT Pipeline Construction Project; and
WHEREAS,
Change Orders are actual changes to the original contract, requiring fair
negotiation and agreement by the City and the Contractor, IMCO Construction
Company; and
WHEREAS,
Certain trenching work done by the Contractor in coordination with Puget Sound
Energy was found to be the most economical and time saving of the available
options for the installation of the power conduit,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign
Change Order #1 for $15,717.05 to the CT Pipeline Construction Project contract with IMCO
Construction Company to install a single phase power conduit.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this 3rd
day of August, 1998.
