A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH D. HITTLE & ASSOCIATES TO PROVIDE A STUDY OF
OPTIONS FOR THE ELECTRIC UTILITY FRANCHISE AGREEMENT.

WHEREAS,
the City and the Consultant are desirous of entering imo an Agreemem to
formalize their relationship, and
it would be beneficial to the City to utilize the Consultant as an independem
entity to accomplish the City's objectives and goals to make the most effective
use of its options related to the City's right-of-way franchise; and
the City does not have sufficiem staff or expertise to conduct such services
itself; and
the City has investigated the qualifications of the Consultam and finds that the
Consultant is qualified to perform the services required;
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign a
Professional Services Agreement with D. I-Iittle & Associates to provide a study of the City's
options available related to the Puget Sound Energy right-of-way franchise.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this 3rd
day of August, 1998.
