A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A CONTRACT WITH MARISTAR ASPHALT
PAVING, LTD. FOR THE OVERLAYING AND PAVING OF PORTIONS OF 49TH
STREET
WHEREAS,
The City has determined that maintaining its streets is necessary and desirable;
and
WHEREAS, The City has included $55,000 in its budget for such projects; and
WHEREAS, The City requested quotes for this work from various paving companies; and
WHEREAS, Maristar Asphalt Paving, Ltd. submitted the lowest quote for the desired work,
N O W T H E R E F O R E'
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend accepts the quote
submitted by Maristar Asphalt Paving, Ltd. for Eleven Thousand Six Hundred Seventy Two
Dollars ($11,672.00) plus applicable sales tax as certified by the State of Washington
Department of Revenue and authorizes the Mayor to enter into a contract with Maristar Asphalt
Paving, Ltd. for the overlaying and paving of certain sections of 49th Street.
Adopted by the City CounCil of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this 3rd
day of August, 1998.
