A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING CERTAIN EXCEPTIONS TO THE H/RING MORATORIUM FOR
THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS,

WHEREAS,
the Public Works Organizational Study has not been completed; and
the City Council has placed a moratorium on hiring for the Public Works
Department until the study is complete; and
the position of Public Works Assistant is a key position in the public works
organization; and
the position of Public Works Assistant will be vacated
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Public Works
Department to fill the position of Public Works Assistant as an exception to the hiring
moratorium for Public Works.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this
17th day of August, 1998.
