RESOLUTION NO. 23-026
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT TO REPAIR THE MOUNTAIN VIEW POOL ROOF IN AN AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED $76,000
WHEREAS, the Mountain View Pool was constructed in 1962 and the roof in 1966; and,
WHEREAS, the roof has reached its end of life and started to sag, crack and leak; and,
WHEREAS, an acrylic coating covering the roof could extend the roof for an additional five
to seven years;
WHEREAS, a complete roof replacement would cost close to $600,000; and
WHEREAS, the City is still planning for the future of the Mountain View Pool;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend to authorize the City Manager to execute an to repair the Mountain View Pool roof in
an amount not to exceed $76,000.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 3`d day of April 2023.
