RESOLUTION NO. 23-025
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT FOR ON-CALL LAND -USE PERMIT REVIEW IN AN AMOUNT NOT
TO EXCEED $150,000
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend has a backlog of land -use permits; and,
WHEREAS, the City requires a consultant to assist in processing the backlog of permits;
and,
WHEREAS, the City anticipates a fee schedule that will include increased fees for an
expedited review in order to recover the costs associated with the consultant contract; and
WHEREAS, this agreement may also allow the City to apply for grants that are dependent
on the City's permit review timelines; and
WHEREAS, this will also allow the City to continue to focus on high priority projects such
as tactical infill development;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend to authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement for on-call land -use permit
review in an amount not to exceed $150,000.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 3rd day of April 2023.
