A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH
GENERAL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY TO REPAIR THE CHIMACUM WATER
LINE SUPPORT ON SR 19 AT CHIMAC .UM CREEK.
WHEREAS, the City owns a six inch water line that crosses Chimacum Creek; and
WHEREAS, the support for this water line was damaged during a recent storm; and
WHEREAS, another such storm event could cause the collapse of the water main; and
WHEREAS, the City hired Northwest Territories Inc., to design a new support for this main;
and
WHEREAS, General Construction was chosen to repair the water main support in accordance
with the plans designed by Northwest Territories Inc.,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign a
construction contract with General Construction Company of Port Hadlock, in the amount of
$10,265.00 plus applicable sales tax to repair the Chimacum water line support on SR19 at
Chimacum Creek.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this 8th
day of September, 1998.
