HomeMy WebLinkAbout98-109RESOLUTION NO. 98- / ~ ~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND DECLARING A FIRE DEPARTMENT VEHICLE TO BE SURPLUS PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO USE AS A TRADE-IN ON A NEW FIRE TRUCK WHEREAS, the City Fire Department owns a 1965 For Pumper that has become inoperative due to age; and WHEREAS, the Fire Department would like to declare the vehicle as surplus property, and use it in trade for the new fire truck currently on order from McPherson Manufacturing Company; and WHEREAS, the disposal of the vehicles as surplus property is in the best interest and for the common benefit of the City, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND that the vehicle listed below with approximate value is to be declared surplus property and shall be used as a trade-in for a new vehicle. The funds shall be allocated pursuant to the City's standard accounting procedures. The Mayor is authorized to sign any necessary conveyance documents.
