A. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN CHANGE ORDER #13 FOR AN AMOUNT OF
$7,753.00 TO THE UNION WHARF RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT CONTRACT
WITH HURLEN CONSTRUCTION.
WHEREAS, Change Orders are a necessary and common occurrence on large construction
projects such as Union Wharf; and
Change Orders are actual changes to the original contract, requiring fair
negotiation and agreement by the City and the Contractor, Hurlen Construction
Company; and
WHEREAS, Hurlen performed certain work for necessary safety and code corrections,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign
Change Order #13 for an amount not to exceed $7,753.00 to the Union Wharf Reconstruction
Project contract with Hurlen Construction Company.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this
16th day of November, 1998.
