A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND TO SIGN A 1999 PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEME~
WITH THE PORT TOWNSEND CIVIC TRUST CTHE TRUST') IN THE
TOTAL AMOUNT OF $24,600
WHEREAS, the Trust is a community-funded project, established and supported in part
by the State of Washington, whose purpose is to promote uptown and downtown business and
property development in support of historic preservation goals; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to encourage the preservation and restoration of the
community's historically significant commercial structures; and
WHEREAS, the City has a need for Skills in historic preservation, planning and
implementation of downtown public improvements, and grantsmanship skills demonstrated by the
Trust,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Mayor of the City of Port Townsend is authorized to sign a
Professional Services Agreement between the City of Port Townsend and the Pot{ Townsend Civic
Trust in the amoUnt of $24,600.00 for the 1999 calendar year in substantially the same form as
attached.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor
on this 21st day of December, 1998.
