RESOLUTION NO. 22-037
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, ADOPTING CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND UPDATED PARK
MEMORIAL AND DONATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, members of the public seek to memorialize friends and loved ones with
park features, including benches, bicycle racks, picnic tables, interpretive signs, and trees; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend program for memorials and donations in City
Parks is dated to 2007; and
WHEREAS, the City Parks, Recreation, Trees, and Trails Advisory Board approved the
updated policy;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
1. The City Council adopts the Park Memorial and Donation Program in
substantially the same form as Exhibit A.
2. The City Manager, in consultation with the Public Works Director, is authorized
to make minor changes and additions to the Program that are consistent with the
intent of the Policy.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting thereof,
held this 6 1 day of September 2022.
