A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AN AMENDMENT TO EXTEND THE
CONTRACT EXPIRATION DATE TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH CH2M HILL TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR
THE TRI-AREA WELL UPGRADE PHASE III AND PRELIMINARY AND DESIGN
SERVICES FOR THE TRI-AREA RESERVOIR AND RELATED IMPROVEMENTS.
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
the City entered into a Professional Services Contract with CH2M Hill and last
amended that agreement on February 7, 1997 to provide engineering services for
refinements to the Sparling Well; and
CH2MHill has provided engineering services for past water projects in the Tri-
Area and is familiar with the water system; and
WHEREAS, This contract amendment would extend their services through the final stage of
the Th-Area water system improvements
WHEREAS, the City finds it necessary to extend the expiration date of this contract to December
31, 1999,
N O W THE RE F O RE
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the Mayor to sign
an amendment to the Professional Services Agreement, in substantially the same form as
attached, with CH2M Hill amending the scope of work to include engineering services for Phase
III of the Tfi-Area Well Upgrades and design work for the new reservoir, amending the contract
amount by $167,978.00 to reflect the additional work and extending the expiration of this
agreement to December 31, 1999.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this 1st
day of February, 1999.
