HomeMy WebLinkAbout22-031 Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Collective Bargaining Agreement with Local Union No. 589 of the International Brotherhood of Teamseters for POlice Department Employees Effective January 1, 2022 Through December 31, 2023Resolution 22-031 RESOLUTION NO. 22-031 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WITH LOCAL UNION NO. 589 OF THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF TEAMSTERS FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2022 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2023 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Port Townsend has reviewed the terms of the tentative agreement negotiated by the City Manager and the bargaining representatives for the Teamster's Union No. 589 (Police); and, WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to implement the tentative agreement as presented by the City Manager at its meeting held on July 5, 2022, by authorizing the City Manager to sign a final agreement with the Teamster's Union No. 589; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, that the City Manager is authorized to execute a collective bargaining agreement between the City of Port Townsend and Local Union No. 589 of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters for Police Department employees effective for the period between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2023.
