A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
DECLARING SNELSON COMPANIES, INC, OF SEDRO-WOOLLEY, WASHINGTON
BE TIlE LOWEST RESPONSIVE RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
THE TRI-AREA WELL UPGRADE PHASE IH.
TO
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the design of, and appropriated funds for construction
of the Tri-Area Well Upgrade Phase III; and
WHEREAS, the City has advertised and received bids for this construction work in a fair and
timely fashion, in accordance with City and State bidding laws; and
WHEREAS, the City has found Snelson Companies, Inc. to be the lowest responsive responsible
bidder,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend as follows:
Section 1:
The bid submitted by Snelson Companies, Inc, for construction of the Tri-Area Well Upgrade Phase
III, in the amount of $214,000 plus sales tax of 7.9% is hereby accepted and approved.
Snelson Companies Inc. is declared the lowest responsive, responsible bidder on the project.
Section 2:
The contract as identified by the contract documents entitled "Tri-Area Well Upgrade Phase III" is
hereby awarded to Snelson Companies Inc., subject to the Interim City Manager's signature of the
contract and posting of an acceptable performance bond, payment bond, insurance certificates and
all other documentation required by the contract and the law.
Section 3:
The contract shall be signed by the City Manager and the City's award of the contract will be final
when conditions set forth in Section 2 above have been met.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this 16th day of
February, 1999. ~~~___
