A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE ALL
NECESSARY CONTRACTS AND MATERIAL PURCHASES FOR THE BANKED
CAPACITY PARKS AND STREETS PROJECTS
WHEREAS, Resolution 21-048 directed the City Manager to include $605,000 of the
Banked Property Tax Capacity and the respective projects in the 2022 City Budget; and,
WHEREAS, the 2022 City Budget includes a property tax levy for $602,600 for Banked
projects to be collected in 2022; and,
WHEREAS, the 2022 City of Port Townsend budget includes an expenditure estimate of
$208,500 for Banked Capacity Parks and Street Projects with the remaining funds to be expended
in 2023; and,
WHEREAS, the 2022 City of Port Townsend budget includes an expenditure estimate of
$175,000 for associated utility investments to accompany the banked capacity projects; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council must authorize the City Manager to sign all contracts for the
design phase, construction, and material purchases.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend, Washington, as follows:
The City Council approves the City Manager to sign and approve all necessary contracts
and purchases not to exceed $602,600 for 2022 banked capacity parks and streets projects and not
to exceed $175,000 for associated utility work.
ADOPTED by the City Council of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 2nd day of May 2022.David p
