RESOLUTION NO. 22-019
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER EXECUTE ALL CONTRACTS
NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE CHARLES PINK HOUSE AND POPE MARINE
BUILDING NEEDS ASSESSMENT PROJECT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$15,000
WHEREAS, the Charles Pink House is a City facility located at the City Library and used
for City and community meetings as well as City staff offices; and
WHEREAS, the Pope Marine building is a City facility located in Pope Marine Park and
available for community events; and
WHEREAS, both facilities are aging and require rehabilitation to ensure their continued
safe use; and
WHEREAS, the City needs a professional assessment to determine the work required to
rehabilitate these historic buildings; and
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized $10,000 of American Rescue Plan Act Funds to
assess the Charles Pink House;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend, Washington, that the City Manager is authorized to all contracts necessary to complete
the Charles Pink House and Pope Marine Building needs assessment project in an amount not to
exceed $15,000.
ADOPTED by the City Council of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 2" d day of May 2022.
