A RESOLUTION OF TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
APPROVING TIlE 2000-2005 SIX-YEAR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT
PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING TIlE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT TI:lIS TO TIlE
STATE.
WHEREAS, The City Council has reviewed the 200-2005 Six Year Plan and held a public
heating on June 21, 1999, for public comment; and
WHEREAS,
The City is required by the State of Washington Department of Transportation to
submit an approved Transportation Improvement Program by July 30 of each
year; and
WHEREAS, The TIP is primarily intended to designate federally funded and regionally
significant projects; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has established priorities for transportation improvement
projects and these are reflected in the TIP.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend
authorizes the Mayor to sign this resolution approving the attached Six-Year Transportation
Improvement Program for 2000-2005 for submission to the State Department of Transportation.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this 21st
day of June, 1999.
