A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A SURVEYING CONTRACT WITH
WOOD SURVEYING, INC. TO SURVEY, DEED SEARCH AND BASE MAP FOR THE
"F" STREET PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend has approved the 1999 CIP Budget that identified the
"F" Street Project for major street and sidewalk improvements; and
WHEREAS, this is the first step in a multi-year project to be completed over the next 2 or 3
years; and
WHEREAS, this project utilizes funds from several sources including state and federal
grants; and
WHEREAS,
in accordance with City Council Rules and Procedures, the Public Works
Department has completed the first and second touch in presenting this contract to
the City Council, informing them of the intent to begin this project; and
WHEREAS,
in compliance with Washington law and the City's adopted procedures, the Public
Works Department has reviewed its Professional Services Roster for a surveying
firm to perform surveying and base mapping within the scope of this project; and
WHEREAS,
the Public Works Department has selected Wood Surveying, Inc., as the
contractor who is best able to complete the scope of work of surveying and base
mapping and has negotiated a scope of work and fee with the contractor;
NOW THEREFORE
Be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the City Manager to
sign a contract with Wood Surveying, Inc. in substantially the form attached hereto as Contractor
in the amount of $35,000 for Surveying, Deed Search and Base Mapping of the "F" Street
Project.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this
3rd day of May, 1999.
