A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
DECLARING ISLAND CONSTRUCTION COMPANY OF OAK HARBOR, WASHINGTON
TO BE THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
THE PORT TOWNSEND TRUNK SEWER PHASE III
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the design of, and appropriated funds for construction
of the Trunk Sewer Phase III; and
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
the City has advertised and received bids for this construction work in a fair and
timely fashion, in accordance with City and State bidding laws; and
the City has found Island Construction Company to be the lowest responsive
responsible bidder,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend as follows:
Section 1:
The bid submitted by Island Construction Company for construction of the Port Townsend Trunk
Sewer Phase III in the amount of $93,525.25 plus sales tax of 7.9% is hereby accepted and
approved. Island Construction Company is declared the lowest responsive, responsible bidder on the
project.
Section 2:
The contract as identified by the contract documents entitled "Port Townsend Trunk Sewer Phase
III" is hereby awarded to Island Construction Company, subject to Island Construction Company's
signature of the contract and posting of an acceptable performance bond, payment bond, insurance
certificates and all other documentation required by the contract and the law.
Section 3:
The contract shall be signed by the City Manager and the City's award of the contract will be final
when conditions set forth in Section 2 above have been met.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this 6th day of
1999.
