RESOLUTION NO. 22- 004
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON,AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL
NECESSARY AGREEMENTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF A PICKUP TRUCK AND
UTILITY VEHICLE IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $51,000
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend received American Rescue Plan Act funds that
allows the City to complete deferred maintenance, replace aging vehicles, and purchase new
equipment to enhance services to City residents; and
WHEREAS, the City owns a Ford Ranger truck with over 160,000 miles that is limited
to in-town driving due to a likely breakdown; and
WHEREAS, a small utility vehicle provides low impact access to parks and trails; and
WHEREAS, the City may purchase the vehicles using the Washington State Department
of Enterprise contracts for $51,000; and
WHEREAS, the aggregate costs of the two vehicles is below the aggregate amount
budgeted for the two vehicles which was $53,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend that the City Manager is directed to execute all necessary agreements for the purchase
a pickup truck and a parks utility vehicle.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a meeting thereof, held
this 18th day of January 2022.
