RESOLUTION NO. 21-070
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH AXON ENTERPRISE, INC FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE 2021
TASER 7 CERTIFICATION BUNDLE IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $52,200.03
WHEREAS, the majority of the Port Townsend Police Department (PTPD) tasers are out
of warranty and no longer supported by the manufacturer; and
WHEREAS, the PTPD must either purchase parts or equipment or individually replace the
tasers at a significant expense; and
WHEREAS, tasers are an important tool for the PTPD as they provide a less-lethal force
alternative; and
WHEREAS, the 2021 Taser 7 Certification Bundle will provide the PTPD with the most
up-to-date equipment, training, training aids, and support;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend, Washington, the City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with Axon
Enterprise, Inc for the purchase of the 2021 Taser 7 Certification Bundle in an amount not to
exceed $52,700.03.
ADOPTED by the City Council of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 22nd day of November 2021.
