RESOLUTION NO. 21-071
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH PORT TOWNSEND MAIN STREET FOR THE TYLER STREET
PLAZA LIGHTING PROJECT
WHEREAS, Port Townsend Main Street and the City would like to install poles and string
lights in the Tyler Street Plaza; and
WHEREAS, the Port Townsend Historic Preservation Committee approved the proposal;
and
WHEREAS, as part of the string light installation, PT Main Street will purchase support
poles that can also be used to install event tents owned and managed by The Production Alliance;
and
WHEREAS, the project will cost approximately $30,000 with PT Main Street purchasing
the materials and the City providing approximately $14,000 of value in staff labor to install the
poles;
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend, Washington, the City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with Port
Townsend Main Street for the Tyler Street Plaza Lighting Project
ADOPTED by the City Council of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 1 st day of November 2021.
