RESOLUTION NO. 21-069
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE TWO 2022 FORD POLICE INTERCEPTOR AWD
PURSUIT RATED UTILITY/SUVS IN AN MOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $160,000
WHEREAS, the Port Townsend Police Department has five patrol vehicles over 14 years
old; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend has not purchased new police vehicles for several
years; and
WHEREAS, the newer hybrid vehicles are more fuel efficient and safer; and
WHEREAS, significant lead time is needed for the purchase and outfitting of police
vehicles;
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend, Washington, the City Manager is authorized to execute for the purchase of two 2022
Ford Police Interceptor AWD Pursuit-rated utility/SUVs in an amount not to exceed $160,000.
ADOPTED by the City Council of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 1St day of November 2021.
