RESOLUTION NO. 21-066
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH WILLAMETTE CULTURAL RESOURCES ASSOCIATES FOR A
CULTURE RESOURCE SURVEY IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $20,000
WHEREAS, the City Council approved an earnest money payment for the purchase of 14
acres located on Evans Vista Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City is currently conducting its due diligence regarding the potential
affordable housing property purchase before final purchase approval using a potential grant from
the Washington State Department of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, part of the due diligence is completely a cultural resources survey prior to the
final purchase; and
WHEREAS, Willamette Cultural Resources Associates has the necessary staff and
experience to complete the cultural resources study;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend, Washington, the City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement Willamette
Cultural Resources Associates for a cultural resources survey in an amount not to exceed $20,000.
ADOPTED by the City Council of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 1 St day of November 2021.
