HomeMy WebLinkAbout110321 Arts Commission Minutes Minutes of the Port Townsend Arts Commission Meeting of November 3, 2021 LOCATION: City Hall MEMBERS PRESENT: Jason Victor Serinus (Chair), Joe Gillard, Dan Groussman, Nhatt Nichols, and Diane Walker MEMBERS EXCUSED: Nan Toby Tyrrell STAFF PRESENT: Legal Assistant Amber Long Topic Mations/Recom' endation/Action Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 3:03 p.m. Approval of Agenda The agenda was unanimously approved with the change of moving the 2022 Workplan item to follow the Chair's Report. Approval of Minutes for October 6, 2021 Meeting The minutes of October 6, 2021 were unanimously approved. Public Comment None Chair's Report Jason explained that City Council requested to see the Arts Commission's proposed 2022 workplan before making a final decision on Arts Commission funding for next year. 2022 Workplan The Commission voted 4-0 (Nhatt left the meeting just prior Commissioners suggested ideas for the 2022 workplan. Artists in Motion Cosmo Rapaport discussed their new artist collective, which will host free interdisciplinary performances in late November. PTAC funding would compensate the teachers without having to charge the public to attend the shows.
