A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING APPLICATION SUBMISSION FOR SPECIAL
TRANSPORTATION FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City is in receipt of an announcement to apply for special
transportation grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the City has participated in the past and provided a successful track record
of addressing transportation needs utilizing these funds; and
WHEREAS, The City has eligible projects that can be considered that would provide an
opportunity to enhance local money and project completion,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council directs the City Manager to develop an application and
coordinate this effort with support from City staff and citizen committees.
SECTION 2. The City Council further directs and limits the City Manager's discretion
to projects that have local funding available.
SECTION 3. The City Council authorizes the City Manager to submit an application
consistent with this resolution.
