A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
DECLARING WILSON MICHEL, INC. OF PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON TO BE
THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE
MADISON STREET UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City Council appropriated funds for water main replacements and upgrades in the
1999 Budget and CIP; and
WHEREAS, the Madison Street Utility Improvements Project was selected as a priority project for
1999; and
WHEREAS, the City has advertised and received bids for this construction work in a fair and
timely fashion, in accordance with City and State bidding laws; and
WHEREAS, the City has found Wilson Michel, Inc. to be the lowest responsive responsible bidder,
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend as follows:
Section 1:
The bid submitted by Wilson Michel, Inc. for construction of the Madison Street Utility
Improvements Project in the amount of $10,562.99 plus sales tax of 7.9% is hereby accepted and
approved. Wilson Michel, Inc. is declared the lowest responsive, responsible bidder on the project.
Section 2:
The contract as identified by the contract documents entitled "Madison Street Utility Improvements
Project" is hereby awarded to Wilson Michel, Inc., subject to Wilson Michel, Inc.'s signature of the
contract and posting of an acceptable performance bond, insurance certificates and all other
documentation required by the contract and the law.
Section 3:
The contract shall be signed by the City Manager and the City's award of the contract will be final
when conditions set forth in Section 2 above have been met.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this 4th day of
October, 1999. ~~..
