A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AFFIRMING THE COUNCIL'S FULL SUPPORT OF THE COUNCIL/MANAGER
FORM OF GOVERNMENT AND CONFIRMING THE COUNCIL'S INTENTION
TO GUARANTEE THE INTEGRITY OF THE YEAR 2000 BUDGET PROCESS
WHEREAS, This is the first budget cycle process under the Council Manager form of
government; and
WHEREAS, During this year's process, certain individuals have made attempts to circumvent
the new procedures and mechanisms of government; and
WHEREAS, This Council stands completely behind the new system;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend
as follows:
SECTION 1. This Council stands completely behind the new system.
SECTION 2. This Council will do everything in its power to insure and guarantee the integrity
of the new process.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor on this
18th day of October, 1999.
