RESOLUTION OF TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTIIORIZING TIlE ACQUISITION OF COMPUTER HARDWARE AND
SOFTWARE AND A FINANCING CONTRACT AND RELATED
DOCUMENTATION FOR SAID EQUIPMENT.
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, it was deemed necessary and advisable that the City of Port Townsend
acquire the Equipment identified on Annex 1 attached hereto ("Property"); and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend acquired the Property in accordance with all
applicable purchasing statutes and regulations: and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend has executed a Notice of Intent to the Office of
State Treasurer, in the form attached hereto as Annex 1, for the financing of the Property under the
Provisions of RCW ch 39.94; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend desires to enter into a Local Government
Financing Contract with the Office of the State Treasurer, in the form attached hereto as Annex 2,
as the method of payment for the Property;
WHEREAS, David Timmons is the duly appointed City Manager of the City of Port
Townsend. and
NOW, TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend hereby authorizes the acquisition of the Property and hereby empowers David Timmons
to execute the Local Government Financing Contract for the Property. The Form of the Local
Government Financing Contract is hereby approved and authorized to be executed and delivered to
finance the acquisition of the Property.
The City Manager is hereby further authorized to execute and deliver to the Office of State
Treasurer all other documentation in connection with the financing of the Property, including,
but not limited to agreements relating to initial and ongoing disclosure in connection with the
offering of securities related to the Local Government Financing Contract.
This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
