RESOLUTION NO. 21-052
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A DONATION
AGREEMENT FOR TRAFFIC CALMING ON WASHINGTON STREET
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend, in partnership with the Washington Street
neighborhood, tested traffic calming using two islands at Cass and Benton Streets; and
WHEREAS, the Washington Street neighbors have agreed to raise funds for the permanent
installation of the traffic calming islands; and
WHEREAS, the City will install the permanent traffic calming islands at a cost of
approximately $5000 each provided the neighborhood can raise the funds to install them;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend, Washington, that the City Manager is authorized to execute a donation agreement for
traffic calming on Washington Street.
ADOPTED by the City Council of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 16th day of August 2021.
